CNC Routing is a subtractive manufacturing process that removes material from a sheet or block in order to create a 2D or 3D form. A computer translates the digital files into coordinates that control the machine to remove material creating the programed design.
Z3D cuts a plethora of materials including high density foam, wood, epoxy, and aluminum at an accuracy of +/-0.005″. The preferred digital files are .obj or .stl and .dxf or .ai for 3D and 2D respectively.
